Lake at Cottrell Ranch

Lake at Cottrell Ranch
Oil  8x10

Good morning sunshine!  For those of you who live close by, you know we've been experiencing cold and rain for the last several days, so waking up to sunshine this morning is such an uplifting treat.

We were driving to a painting location in north Georgia through the dense trees along this little winding road.  Suddenly the road opened up and there was this beautiful lake with the water iris along the edge and mountain laurel hanging from the banks.  We were all so excited, we could hardly wait to set up easels.  Another beautiful day, beautiful scene with paint brush in hand.  I'm thankful for this and SO MUCH more!

What are you thankful for today?  Stop by and visit any time.

Hello Judy, I love your painting, of course. I really enjoy your blog. Your art work has always been very inspiring for me. I really like the way you use color. Can't wait to see your next creation. I was saden to read about Mr. Baker. I bet he is already harvesting a bounty of veggies. Give Donald a hug for me. Miss Both of You !! Jody
